Director Tristan Versluis of Screaming Pictures asked me to design some tattoos for his upcoming sci-fi feature film Omni. The tattoos would appear on three characters in the story and would be transferred on to the actors using a special type of transfer paper. Tristan had a clear vision for Jessica’s tattoo and the BHC bold letters but was unsure of what style of wings tattoo he wanted; so I sketched a few different types for him to choose from or further direct me to make in the style of. In the end he fell in love with the simple line robot looking wings which I threw in due to the sci-fi nature of the short so I inked it up to look nice on a large scale as is designed to appear across the should blades. It was a quick turn around as they needed to be sent for print to be transferred on to the actress within a couple of days.
