Hayward Gallery: Eyes, Lies & Illusions

January 4, 2005 in 2D, Animation, Compositing, Stop Motion

Our university was asked to create a film as part of the Big Draw project at the Hayward gallery to promote their new exhibition “Eyes, Lies & Illusions”. The exhibition was about optical illusions so the BA illustration class was asked to devise and create some optical illusions of their own, our BA animation class was then charged with the job of “making them move” ie: creating the video. This involved stop motion rostrum work and compositing in After Effects, I also acted as mediator between the producers and animation team; relaying information and instructions between them, and organising meeting times for the teams.
